Dion - I would go for www.quicksharing.com. It can be problematic uploading at times but try reducing the file size and you might have more luck. I find its best to set the upload going and then leave the pc to do its thing - don't browse away or do any other Internet viewing. I did use www.savefile.com for a short period - uploading was good but downloading took ages :(
yes i have the same problem i am trying to find a stable server.
i tried a lot of sites and i think finally that these are quite good

mediafire,try also http://www.eggdisk.com/
ok sometimes i use rapidshare even i don't want 'cause it is stable and keeps the files for 45 days.
One is certain you will not find a server/site as you want.
